I created this channel with the original intention of promoting my guitar lessons.
I will be uploading several cover videos and demonstrations of riffs and licks, without forgetting the fun part of the instrument.

Paul Gilbert - "Screamin' Blues O'Mania" (REH Video ending credits play along)
Yet another Gilbertian piece of genius, straight from the ending of "Intense Rock II" REH video. You can say I like Paul's playing quite a bit.
As a late teenager I remember being blown away by this little tune from the ending credits, and here I am, more than 20 years later, trying to play over that same clip in one take over Paul's lines, without editing or punching-in. I must be mental, but despite all the little imperfections and nuances... hey, close enough!!!
Chek out Paul Gilbert's instructional videos, as those are a wonderful source of shred guitar knowledge. I'd say the "Intense Rock" series are a complete must.

One of the tunes that best incarnate Morbid Angel's sick and twisted sound. I thought a fretless version could give it an even sicker twist. Definitely one of my personal favourites from Alex, too... Had to rearrange some notes on my own from the transcriptions I have ever seen (not tapping the first descending run made a difference!!) and not 100% perfect, but I think it was a take good enough to keep. Thanks for your comment!!

on the chorus are you sliding from 1 to 3 or 1 to 4 "fret" (on the 7 fat A# string)? Thanks
Good question!! I think it was "somewhere in the middle", on purpose... Somehow the original tune called for that inside my brain, as if they were playing with thin strings and pressing too hard and messing the intonation. I guess you could achieve that sliding to the 3rd fret and then doing a little 1/4 step bend. Just "yank" the string a bit downwards. Or just play the 3rd fret if that sounds better to you, of course.
I'm glad you liked it... I would advice you to try a fretless instrument before attempting any major "surgery" in an existing one. There are some major issues to be dealt with, apart from intonation, I'd say mainly lack of sustain. Thank you for your comment!!
